And while I do write SQL, I don’t work with the big systems – preferring more interesting tools such as eXist-db or the various no-sql databases such as XTDB, Datomic, or Postgres/MySQL.

I’m based in Adelaide, South Australia, but have worked in London, Amsterdam, Hong Kong and Sydney.

I prefer to build custom systems that are affordable for a small business. These tools should enable you to work faster and more efficiently, and also remotely as needed. We won’t be dramatically altering your approach to managing your information – unless that is your goal – preferring to improve your current processes by making them multi-user and online.

A major aim of any database system is to avoid repeating yourself. You should never have to type your client’s details more than once.
